Dr. Franco Musio earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) with subsequent training in General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Nephrology at Brooke Army (San Antonio, Texas) and Walter Reed Army Medical Centers (Washington, D.C.). Dr. Musio has subsequently been in the academic and clinical practice of nephrology for 30 years at Walter Reed and Inova Fairfax Hospital (Falls Church, VA) where he has collaborated with many hematology-oncology colleagues and has developed a specialty in caring for complex patients with microangiopathic hemolytic anemia as well as multiple other types of anemia. Dr. Musio enjoys lecturing, writing, and discussing medical and human-interest topics on local and international radio stations and podcasts.
